Journey and Battle of Hattin, AD 1187
Horns of Hattin, near Tiberias (Northern District)
Hattin AD 1187, one of the most significant and life-changing battles in the Middle Ages. Every year historical re-enactment group "Regnum Hierosolymitanum" (Jerusalem Kingdom) feign this epopoeia in the authentic landscape and conditions, similar to the original environment of this battle...
The hike to the Horns of Hattin is a living history event. You're about to face a reenactment of a trying war route march as well as the deadly battle of the crusader army with the Saracens. The campaign stretched for three days. On Saturday July the 4th, 1187 it was crowned with a Battle of Hattin which marked the destruction of the Kingdom of Jerusalem and the fall of the crusader age in the Holy Land.
Our event is a living history project featuring militant modeling and role playing game component. However, first and foremost it's a mystery where every participant can personally live out the smashing fall of the Kingdom of Jerusalem or Salah-ad-Din's glorious victory. Like 800 years before, the concepts of Journey and teamwork are essential for this action. The yearly event takes part on the day of the battle anniversary at the same place it happened historically. Same place same time.
