The Sky and the Earth, the Astronomical Seasons
Since ancient times the observation of the sky and of its natural cyclical phenomena had been providing the basis for creation of the calendar among many civilizations in different parts of the planet. Therefore the positions and motions of the sun, moon and stars marked the seasons and human activities through the year, such as the main agricultural and pastoral dates and even the falling of the traditional feasts, which became the ground for the folklore.
